Doi Inthanon National Park
Today we visit the Doi Inthanon National Park - named after Thailand's highest Mountain, which is located here. We commence with a drive to a Karen Village in the Doi Inthanon National Park (about half way up the Mountain). Here we have a Hike past a Waterfall and along Rice Paddy Fields (approx. 2 Hours walk) to a Local Village that produces Mountain Coffee. After welcome coffee break, we meet up with our Vehicle and drive to the summit of Doi Inthanon - over 8000 ft. high, here we can take a walk along a rainforest boardwalk, nature trail (Very easy walking trail takes about 30 minutes)
After Lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expenses), we visit the Twin Royal Pagodas that overlook this very scenic area, which were built to commemorate their Majesties the King & Queen of Thailand’s 60th Birthdays. From here we descend to a Meo Hill Tribe Village, under sponsorship of the Royal Project and we also visit the Vachiratarn Waterfalls before returning to the Hotel.
Later in the later afternoon (at approx. 18.00pm), we can visit Jing Jai Village, before continue to Chang Puak Gate evening market for our local street food experience.
